Settled in the Saddle

Whatās Inside Settled in the Saddle?
This is a complete online course built around the SETTLED Rider Framework. New modules are released weekly, and you can work through each one at your own pace.
Inside, we look at what is really happening when confidence becomes fragile. We look at how your body responds before your mind has time to reason. We look at how thoughts, tension, past experiences, and riding situations begin feeding into each other, and how to build a different pattern.
One that is calmer. More realistic. One that helps you take manageable steps rather than expecting yourself to leap straight back to where you used to be.
Because confidence is rarely rebuilt in one dramatic moment. It is built through repeated evidence that you can cope, adjust, recover, and move forward.
Inside the course you receive:
The complete 7 Step SETTLED Rider Framework, taught step by step
Practical, clear lessons you can apply to your own riding life
Reflection prompts and confidence-building exercises
Confidence reset tools for hard moments
Self-paced access for a full year for you to revisit the modules if you want
Downloadable material within each module

Ā Because horses, life, weather, hormones, busy yards, fresh horses, and human brains do not move in a neat straight line. Funny that.

Why I created this course ā and why itās different
I am Margie Riley: lifelong horsewoman, experienced coach, and creator of the SETTLED Rider Framework.
Horses have been part of my life for decades. I have produced young horses and thoroughbreds off the track, competed in show jumping to Grand Prix level, and evented to a high standard.
But it is not only the achievements that shaped this course. It is what I have had to come back from.
Like many riders, my journey has had disruptions, in my case it has included study, family, falls, difficult horses, back surgeries, cancer treatment, and times when riding felt anything but straightforward. I know what it is to have to find your way back; not as a concept, but as a lived experience.
Through years of riding, coaching, competing, and working with riders who were struggling, something became very clear to me:
Riding confidence is not just a mindset issue.
Itās not just about positive thinking. Itās not just about technique. Itās not about being told to get on and do it. Confidence in the saddle involves your body, your mind, your horse, your environment, your history, and the choices you make in each moment.
Thatās why I created the SETTLED Rider Framework: a practical, whole-rider approach for rebuilding confidence gently and sustainably, without pressure, and without pretending that fear is something to be ashamed of.

Your next step
You do not need to feel completely confident before you take action.
Confidence is usually built because of the right action, not before it.
If you are ready for a calmer, steadier, more supportive way back into riding, I would love to help you get there.Ā Ā
